THERAPY

Improving the health and welfare of our communities has been paramount to my life’s mission. Educating and healing individuals (particularly men in our community ) from the inside out is the key to transforming our neighborhoods into places we love to live and work.

I grew up as an inner-city youth in Baltimore, MD, and began my professional career in teaching. As I began to understand the need to set our young men on a constructive path as early as possible, I became a Disability Coordinator overseeing Head Start programs for the city. However, my thirst to address the abundance and nature of issues affecting us continued to go unsatisfied. I needed to do more and had to delve deeper.

In 2014, I obtained an M.S. in Human Services with a concentration in Counseling. Shortly thereafter I opened the doors of Family’s First. Our objective is simple: To create thriving communities one healthy individual at a time (or to provide mental health and support services that create thriving communities). My success has always been measured, not by my own accomplishments, but rather by those whom I have helped attain their own.
